Ansoo Lake is a high-altitude lake (elevation 4,126 metres) located in theKaghan Valley in Mansehra District of North-West Frontier Province, now Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa (KPK). It is near Malika Parbat in the Himalayan range. The name of the lake comes from its tear like shape (the Urdu word Ansoo means tear drop).
